United in Thanksgiving is an annual event for people of all beliefs and traditions to come together as Americans to give thanks. Each year the event is held at a different venue and includes a program of prayer, music, inspiring messages, and discussion. This year United in Thanksgiving will be an indoor event at New Shiloh Christian Center, 3900 Sarno Road, Melbourne, FL 32934 at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 21, 2021. We all missed our annual interfaith celebration last year because of the pandemic, but this year we will be able to gather for a new program of live music and inspiring guest speakers representing many faith communities. Masks will be required and seating will be socially distanced.
The program will also be live-streamed at:

We’re very excited about this year’s program, hosting the event with our friends at New Shiloh, and expanded participation by additional faith communities. Together, we will present a new United in Thanksgiving program with diverse faith leaders and youth representatives addressing themes of Love, Forgiveness and Unity. Live music will feature vocalists as well as a Praise Band, a string ensemble, and Hawaiian flutes. We’ll end with the audience joining all the musicians and vocalists to sing together, “Draw the Circle Wide”. It’s such a joy for us to work together with caring people of so many different faiths, to build relationships, and see the ways that they live their faiths. We hope that all who attend, either in person or virtually, will see that what we have in common as people of faith is much greater than our differences.
Because of Covid restraints and the high level of food insecure households in Brevard County, everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable food item to the event. Instead of the usual international food reception after the United in Thanksgiving program, we will host a Thanksgiving Food Distribution event. The items you donate, along with turkey and other foods will be distributed at New Shiloh on November 23. As we express gratitude for our own blessings, Thanksgiving also is a time to share our blessings with others, especially those in need.
